I've got about a dozen Nanos... - RyanNX211 - 05-27-2025 I've used Nanos pretty successfully paired with an Aurora A9 and two Tony Stillman Kraft conversions. I only had two issues in ten years. One: I tried swapping a Nano for a Spektrum in a Radian Glider and the throttle channel wouldn't work. Two: There was one old gas engine that made it go bat $hit crazy. Wouldn't work with anything but Futaba or one of FrSky's gas receivers. Now there's a company for tinkerers. Navigating their website is a nightmare. I'm coming back to less erratic modeling and I'd like to remain part of such an elite group. Ever since I was a kid when I read about Samson killing Gelilah, I've always rooted for the little guy. We all know Jim has been mocked by the big shots. But, if you've ever met him, you know he knows a thing or two about radios. What should I do? RE: I've got about a dozen Nanos... - flyingw - 05-28-2025 Keep flying XPS with your Aurora and Kraft conversion transmitters. I have a Futaba 9C and a Taranis, both equipped with XPS transmitter modules. Since they work perfectly, I plan to use them until something breaks. If something breaks, whether it be the transmitter or the XPS module, then I may be forced to look at another system. That would be regrettable since I have multiple Nano and RFU receivers in service. With an X10 I can use another brand of receiver that outputs SBUS. I've tested using the X10 with a Futaba R2000SBM receiver and it worked fine. (I voted for "Stick with EXP" and I think EXP stood for Xtreme Power Systems) |
