Green status light - Fanglacolla - 08-26-2025
I have been using a slide switch and when powering on and off the X16, the green status light goes out when powering off, seems normal.
When I changed to pin and flag and programed it in the X16, it powers off when the pin is installed but the Green Status light Stays ON.
Would that be normal for using Pin and Flag switching?

No, that is not normal. The power off is a power off, no matter which switch type is used. Are you selecting pin and flag as the switch type? Push button mode would do this if you held the button permanently.

Yes, pin and flag selected.
I have tried 2 different Pin and flag switch brands with the same results, green lite on when powered off.
Servos do not move, but Green status ON.

You gave me an idea, I was leaving the pin in the socket when powering off. I thought that was the procedure.
If I pull the pin after it powers off, the Green Status goes OFF. To power on again I plug the pin in and after it powers on, I pull the pin and everything is up and running.
I think it is right.
I thought the pin stayed IN until the next flight.
Seems to act like a PUSH Button.

Yes, this does use the same code as the push button. This is something that we never actually noticed and nobody has reported it before. We use push button because slide switches can vibrate and switch off while in use.

Now that I understand how the Pin / Flag switch works, I like it better than the slide!
