Hello Jim and others at Xtreme Power Systems. I hope you all and your families are well.
Several XPS users recently tested the XPS-J1 transmitter module with new RadioMaster transmitters and EdgeTx, including the TX16S and TX15. Both have internal ELRS RF systems, and both also have external JR-type module bays.
With the latest EdgeTx release v2.12.1 and the new versions of RadioMaster transmitter hardware, the XJT-D16 output into the external bay has likely changed enough to break the interface to the XPS-J1 module. Fortunately, PPM still works as an input to the XPS-J1 with these transmitters.
It would be nice for all remaining XPS users if the XPS-J1, EdgeTx 2.12.1, and the new transmitters could be made compatible.
As an alternative to making accommodations in the XPS-J1 to work with the new implementation of XJT-D16, how about instead a new transmitter module that accepts the crossfire (CRSF) protocol as an input. I reckon that CRSF will be supported long after XJT-D16.
