Jim,

I hope you and your family are well.

I have a setup with an XPS Nano receiver, and three ProModeler micro digital servos. Two DS100s on elevator and rudder, and one DS150 on ailerons.

With the radio, receiver and servos powered up with a two-cell 6.6v life receiver pack, I adjusted the aileron pushrods. While removing, turning and then re-installing the kwik links onto the aileron servo horn, I placed slight amounts of turning force on the DS150 aileron servo. This caused the servo to make some noises which I expected as it held its position against the loads imparted by my fingers.

What I did not expect was that the other two servos also made small jittery movements when the aileron servo was disturbed.

I never noticed this phenomenon before. Do you think there may be a problem with my setup?

Thank you,
There is no output option apart from XJT in the Tx.
Extreme nano’s accept and run XJT from the Xtreme XPS-J1 module but not from the internal Taranis XJT module.
Not into these things, but I thought that XJT is XJT regardless.
Would prefer not to use the J1 module, so is there a way around this?
Is it to do with protocols, in which case just have to live with it.

Firstly have updated my system to Win11. Am a Ubuntu user, so maintain Win dual boot for XPS stuff.
So I wanted to check a few Nano's. Maybe my memory is bad, but has any thing changed? I can't get XDP to run as Owner.
The message "XDP/Telemetry station hardware not found" fronts up.
I re-installed XDP with the drivers. Seem to recall a similar problem from the past, but hey it was a long time ago.

Will you enlighten me

XPS,

When I bind a Nano Rx to an XPS transmitter module in my Taranis transmitter, does it care which "model" entry is active in the Taranis?

If I bind a receiver to airplane A, then bind the same receiver to airplane B, it is bound to airplane B, right?

So, I think that a model (say airplane A) can be bound to multiple receivers, but one receiver cannot be bound to multiple transmitters.

Is that correct?

thanks,

I'm using a G45 with RCXcel ignition. I have a hose clamp on the spark plug connection. The ignition module is in front of the firewall, and about 10-12" ahead of the nano. The throttle connection is via nyrod.

I'm using Frsky with the appropriate XPS TX module. The throttle is set to channel 1. When I start the engine, the throttle servo oscillates and kills the engine in short order.

I'm wondering if I can move all the servos up one channel and leave channel 1 vacant - would the interference follow and move on to the next channel or just stay on #1?

I got to wondering about this since my buddy had the same setup but using Futaba - his ailerons were getting hit (Futaba is A-E-T-R). His solution was a satellite Rx moved up into the center section of the top wing with a separate battery. Both of us have the ignition on a separate battery.

Attached is a pic I took this evening. Thinking of adding solder up to the insulation and gluing the antenna back to the board.

Jim,

I hope you and your family are well.

I am setting up an old quadcopter that requires a PPM input to the flight controller. I flew the thing about five years using a Nano Rx configured to output PPM on pin 2. At that time I used a Futaba 9C transmitter with your XPS Futaba 9C Tx module.

Now I want to fly it with an OpenTx transmitter. I have your JR type Tx module in the Jumper T12 and I use it frequently to fly models equipped with XPS receivers - no problems.

However, I am unable to make the Nano output PPM using the Jumper T12 and XPS JR Tx module.

My gut feeling says that the transmitter and XPS JR Tx module should not care how the Nano outputs the servo signal, whether it be PWM or PPM. It worked when set for PWM and I was able to drive a servo directly. But when I re-binded it and changed the output from PWM to PPM (led "solid on"), I could not get an output.

Can you think of anything I am not taking into consideration?

Thanks,
I bound them following the procedure power on the nano, bind plug on then removed, power on TX holding the PROG button, release the button and they bind. Power off both, then restart. The TX rapid flashes green, the RX is steady red.

None of the controls work, regardless of which port I plug a servo in. True for both RX.

Same TX on a previously bound model and it works fine

I followed the same procedure with another TX with the same results.

I don't want to return the RX because as I understand it you replace them without trying to fix them and you are out of them at present.

Advice. suggestions?

Thanks
Top of the Morning to you Sir. Do you have an estimate on when the Nano's will be available? I need 4 or 5 of them.
Thanks
