Using nylon tube as an antenna protective sleeve

Jim, 

In a new installation I want to use some lengths of the inner tubing from a nylon pushrod as guides for the tips of the RFU antenna.

Will that type of nylon reduce the range of the RFU?

How about a thin plastic coffee stirrer?

And, the small, thinly-spread amount of epoxy to glue the tubes to the wood.

Only wire or carbon weaved nylon is a problem. Anything else will work fine.
